Breathe comfortably, ALL NIGHT LONG 1
9 out of 10 people suffer from sleeping difficulties when they have a cold, and of those, over half say that nasal congestion (a blocked nose) is the reason.2
Nasal congestion can prevent you from falling asleep, or can make you wake up in the middle of the night. In a study of 404 patients, nasal congestion was found to increase the likelihood of sleep problems such as daytime drowsiness, shortness of breath and headaches.3,4 The study concluded treatments that reduce nasal congestion would benefit patients.4
Nasal congestion has been associated with sleep-disordered breathing and is thought to be a key cause of sleep impairment. Treatments that relieve nasal congestion have been reported to improve patients’ sleep and quality of life.5
